Job Description
Oversee and review outsourced providers responsible for maintaining books and preparing monthly management accounts for group entities and family trusts.
Review financial statements, management reports, and accompanying breakdown schedules.
Perform reconciliation of cash balances and investment valuations against bank/investment statements.
Reconcile intercompany and related party transactions and ensure accurate recording of non-cash journal entries.
Work with outsourced providers to ensure timely and accurate GST submissions and assist tax agents with corporate and trust entities.
Ensure proper accounting and classification of financial assets and investment products.
Assist in preparing trade instructions, trade execution, funding of capital calls, and processing subscriptions/redemptions.
Prepare and review payments, ensuring accuracy and resolving any issues.
Manage cash and treasury, ensuring liquidity is maintained and optimizing the use of idle funds.
Maintain accurate physical and electronic filing systems.
Collaborate with third-party providers, including banks, tax agents, auditors, and secretarial services.
Participate in ad hoc initiatives and special projects as assigned.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; ACCA/CPA is preferred.
At least 4 years of experience in audit, an internal accounting & finance department, or a family office environment.
Experience overseeing outsourced accounting providers is a strong advantage.
Sound understanding of accounting principles, local statutory requirements, and finance function controls.
Knowledge of financial assets and funds.
Proficiency in Excel and comfortable with digitalization and data reconciliation.
Ability to reason through and articulate the basis for financial issues.
