Payroll Specialist - 6-Month Contract

We're hiring an experienced Payroll Specialist for a 6-month contract with a high-performing FinTech company. This role is ideal for someone available to start right away and brings expertise in Ontario, Quebec, and US payroll.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and manage end-to-end bi-weekly payroll
- Oversee the full payroll cycle, including year-end reporting and audits
- Address employee questions regarding payroll, tax, leave, and benefits
- Collaborate with stakeholders to collect information and approvals for payroll
- Partner with HR and Finance on payroll reviews and related queries
- Maintain and update payroll data in HRIS.
- Produce accurate reports on payroll metrics such as headcount, turnover, and vacancies
- Lead payroll audits, historical pay reviews, and special projects
- Ensure compliance with changing payroll legislation across jurisdictions
What You Bring
- Diploma or Degree in a related field
- 5+ years of payroll experience
- Proven experience with Ontario, Quebec, and US payroll
- Hands-on experience with payroll systems (e.g. Ceridian, ADP, Workday)
- Available to start immediately
