Head of Finance - Construction
£500/day | 6-Month Contract | Northampton (2 Days Onsite)

A leading organisation within the construction sector is seeking an experienced Head of Finance for an initial 6-month contract, working 2 days a week onsite in Northampton.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is a highly commercial and hands-on role, ideal for a seasoned finance professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about driving project profitability and margin improvement.
Key Responsibilities:

Business partner with senior stakeholders to influence commercial decisions

Lead on project profitability, margin analysis, and commercial reporting

Provide robust financial insight to support operational and strategic initiatives

Deliver clear recommendations to improve financial performance at all levels

Oversee and challenge financial assumptions across a range of high-value projects
Requirements:

Fully qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA)

Proven experience in contract/interim Head of Finance or similar senior roles

Strong commercial acumen, particularly in driving project margins

Background in construction supplies, distribution, or a similar industry preferred

Available to start immediately
