Morgan McKinley are partnering exclusively with a Leading Financial Services Provider looking for a Senior AML Analyst to join their growing team on a 12m FTC (with a high potential to convert to a permanent role).
You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the AML/CTF, FATCA, and CRS frameworks across various business lines, maintaining compliance with both legislative standards and internal risk appetite.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed investigations into customer ownership structures to determine Ultimate Beneficial Ownership and related parties.
- Perform Customer Risk Assessments for prospective and existing clients, alongside transaction monitoring and alert analysis.
- Review and prepare high-quality Unusual Matter Reports for management and execute Enhanced Due Diligence where required.
- Analyse FATCA and CRS data during onboarding to verify accuracy and coordinate data collection for statutory submissions.
- Provide expert advice to internal teams on financial crime risks and collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Audit departments.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of dedicated experience in AML/CTF, KYC, or fraud investigations within financial services (ideally not a bank).
- Comprehensive understanding of both Australian and International AML/CTF legislation, regulatory reporting, and familiarity with FATCA/CRS laws.
- Proven ability to analyse complex datasets, recognise patterns, and interpret legal frameworks to provide practical guidance.
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (Risk, Legal, or Business); ACAMS or ICA certification is highly valued.
- Advanced communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel, to manage multiple projects under pressure
