Program Manager - GIS (Geospatial Information Systems) Upgrade

This is an opportunity to showcase both your project management and GIS experience, delivering a long term project to upgrade the core GIS platform and delivering the Geospatial Visualisation Tool. This role will entail a mix of project activities, alongside strategic alignment, risk management and the management and coordination of multiple workstreams.
This is a 12 month initial contract with potential for extensions and currently this role will be required in the Sydney CBD office for a minimum of 1 day per week, so there is plenty of flexibility. The role is paying a maximum of $1033 per day + super.
Key Responsibilities include:
- End-to-end management of GIS-related projects and program workstreams
- Oversee and ensure the successful delivery of the GIS Upgrade and Geospatial Visualisation Tool projects
- Coordinate and drive RFP and procurement activities for the program
- Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives
- Identify, manage, and mitigate risks throughout project lifecycles
- Provide regular updates and reporting to stakeholders and senior management
- Promote a collaborative and results-driven team environment
Skills and Experience required:
- Previous experience with Geospatial projects and technologies
- Strong working knowledge of Esri tools/systems
- Demonstrated experience handling procurement processes, including RFPs
- Background in program or large-scale project management, ideally within technology or utilities sectors
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- 'Can do'/delivery-focused attitude
- Team player who thrives in collaborative environments
