The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Reporting Manager will take ownership of statutory, management and investment reporting across multiple entities, trusts and SPVs.
You'll lead month-end and year-end processes, ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax obligations, and provide insightful analysis that supports strategic decision-making.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing monthly and annual financial reports, including consolidated and stand-alone statements
- Delivering management reporting packs with analysis and recommendations
- Supporting Principal-level updates and presentations
- Overseeing reconciliations, accruals, timetables and reporting frameworks
- Assisting with BAS/PAYG, tax returns, ASIC compliance and trust/Division 7A matters
- Managing cash flow forecasting, liquidity, treasury activities and bank transfers
- Coordinating budgeting, forecasting and scenario analysis
- Undertaking special projects across diverse investments and operational areas
- You'll also have access to experienced external advisors to help navigate complex accounting and tax matters
Ideal Skills and Experience
- CA or CPA qualified
- Previous experience in financial reporting, ideally with a blend of Big 4 and commercial exposure; family office or HNW experience advantageous
- Strong technical accounting and Australian tax knowledge
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using Xero
- Exposure to Division 7A, trusts and investment structures highly regarded
Comfortable working in a small-team, hands-on environment
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills and a proactive mindset
