The role:
As the Director - Technology Finance & Strategy, you will lead the financial strategy and commercial performance of a large, complex technology division undergoing significant transformation.
You will:
- Own budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning across a multi-year technology investment portfolio
- Partner closely with Technology executives and senior operational leaders to influence strategy, investment decisions and prioritisation
- Drive financial governance for technology spend, headcount, and investment frameworks to support clear, transparent and effective decision-making
- Produce high-impact analysis to identify risks, trends and opportunities across both run-the-business and strategic initiatives
- Translate complex technical and financial information into compelling insights for senior leadership
- Champion continuous improvement and automation in planning, reporting and analytics, leveraging tools such as Anaplan, ThoughtSpot and JIRA
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team, uplifting capability and partnering excellence
This is a senior, visible role ideally suited to someone who thrives in a tech-enabled environment and wants genuine influence over strategic and commercial outcomes.
Ideal skills & experience:
- Senior experience in commercial finance, FP&A or finance business partnering, ideally supporting technology functions or working in technology-driven organisations
- Strong stakeholder influencing skills with a track record of partnering with senior executives
- Advanced financial modelling, forecasting and analytical capability, including working with large datasets
- Experience with tools such as Anaplan, TM1, ThoughtSpot or JIRA
- Proven leadership and people development experience
- CA/CPA (or equivalent) desirable
- A genuine interest in AI, automation and digital-first finance environments
