Data Privacy Officer

As Data Privacy Officer, you will be responsible for handling Personal Information Requests and low risk privacy breaches under supervision.

About the Role

• Responsible for handling Personal Information Requests and low risk privacy breaches under supervision
• Assist the Privacy Officer with implementing compliance with various components of data privacy regulations in Australia and New Zealand
• Handle low risk non reportable privacy breaches and incidents independently under limited supervision.
• Maintain and updating the Privacy Village page under supervision.
• Handle Personal Information Requests under limited supervision.

About You

• Relevant Tertiary qualification, legal practicing certificate preferred
• Experience in Compliance or Privacy in the Insurance or Financial services industry
• Experience in data protection regulations
• Excellent time management and organization skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate data privacy issues to internal clients
• Demonstrate a strong technical proficiency in understanding how to operate systems and associated processes for conducting Personal Information Request reviews.
