Warehouse Administrator
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Warehouse Administrator to join our clients team and provide essential administrative support to the day-to-day running of our warehouse. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, coordinating documentation, supporting warehouse activities, and ensuring that company and customer requirements are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Stock Control
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, ensuring all system information is entered correctly and promptly.
- Assist with routine stock counts and investigations into any stock discrepancies.
- Work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor to resolve inventory issues and maintain stock accuracy.
Administration, Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure all warehouse documentation is completed accurately and in accordance with customer and company procedures.
- Maintain organised records relating to deliveries, shipments, goods received, and stock movements.
- Assist with compiling operational, inventory, and compliance reports for management.
- Ensure administrative processes are carried out in line with relevant company policies and customer requirements.
Customer & Supplier Coordination
- Communicate effectively with customers and suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, collections, and queries.
- Deal with customer concerns and complaints professionally, ensuring issues are followed up and resolved efficiently.
- Coordinate with the Transport Team to arrange inbound and outbound deliveries while following specific customer instructions.
Warehouse Operations Support
- Assist the Warehouse Supervisor with the planning and coordination of daily warehouse activities.
- Provide administrative support to warehouse staff and ensure operational records are completed accurately.
- Help promote a safe, clean, and compliant working environment by supporting health, safety, and hygiene procedures.
- Use the Warehouse Management System (WMS) effectively to support accurate stock control and improve operational efficiency.
Key Requirements
- At least 2 years' experience in an administrative, warehouse administration, or warehouse support position.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling records and documentation.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team.
- Good understanding of warehouse processes, stock control, and inventory management.
