Job Title: Hire Coordinator

Job Summary
The Hire Coordinator can expect to be desk-based working closely with the Transport Manager. You will be responsible for processing all on/off-hire requests using the hire software system to reflect the hire status and liaise with transport and the customer regarding delivery and collection schedules. This role also requires processing of payments and issuing of invoices to customers/clients.
Main Responsibilities:
- Receive and respond to incoming telephone calls and emails for hire, dealing directly with new enquiries and current customers.
- Take customer hire request orders, process and follow them through to completion.
- Liaise with the transport team regarding any deliveries or collections and communicate schedules to the relevant customers.
- Process all input to IT systems and paperwork related to on-hires, off-hires etc.
- General office administration and complete customer invoicing while liaising with the Accounts dept.
- Prepare quotations, agree hire contracts, organise deliveries and collection of plant/machines for Service and Sales Departments.
Requirements:
- High levels of IT literacy across a range of applications and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office; particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Excellent organisational skills and time management along with the ability to multitask
- Ability to balance demands of working on own initiative with being a committed team player
- Great telephone manner and outstanding communication skills Desirable Attributes
- Previous experience in the customer service or call centre environment
- Hire or machinery industry is desirable but not essential
- A flexible attitude to fluid timescales and deadlines
