The Out of Hours Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for ensuring healthcare shifts are covered outside normal business hours. The role involves coordinating with nurses and healthcare clients to arrange replacement (backfill) nurses when the assigned nurse is unavailable due to leave, sickness, or other emergencies. This is a coordination role and does not involve recruitment or clinical work.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the dedicated healthcare phone line and email inbox during out-of-hours.
- Arrange replacement nurses for urgent shift requirements.
- Contact available nurses and confirm their availability.
- Coordinate with healthcare clients to ensure shift coverage.
- Update scheduling records and maintain accurate documentation.
- Handle nurse cancellations and urgent scheduling issues.
- Escalate unresolved emergencies to the on-call operations manager when required.
- Ensure proper handover to the day operations team.
Shift Timings
The role operates 7 days a week on a rotational basis.
- Night Shift: 9:30 PM – 5:30 AM (IST)
- Morning Shift: 5:30 AM – 1:30 PM (IST)
Work Mode
- 100% Remote / Work from Home
- Since this is a 24/7 support function, weekly offs are rotational.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience in International Voice Process / International Customer Support.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Comfortable handling calls with international clients and healthcare professionals.
- Willingness to work permanent rotational night and early morning shifts.
- Good coordination and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently from home.
- Experience in scheduling, workforce management, healthcare support, customer service, or operations coordination is an advantage.
