    Senior Content Marketing Executive

    City of London Permanent £55k - £60k

    Senior Content Marketing Executive

    About the job

We are working with a leading, internationally recognised wealth management business that is looking to appoint a Senior Content Marketing Executive to join its growing Marketing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced writer, editor or content marketer who enjoys turning complex financial topics into clear, engaging and client-focused content.

You will play a key role in shaping how the business communicates with its clients, prospects and intermediaries, creating high-quality content across digital and offline channels. Working alongside marketing colleagues, subject matter experts and external agencies, you will help deliver content that strengthens brand awareness, supports engagement and contributes to wider commercial objectives.

    What You'll Be Doing

    • Plan, write, edit and proof high-quality content across websites, email, social media, newsletters, market updates, client communications, campaigns, brochures and publications.
    • Translate complex topics including wealth management, financial planning, pensions, retirement and personal finance into accessible and engaging content.
    • Support editorial calendars, campaign plans and ongoing client communications.
    • Work closely with investment professionals, wealth planners and subject matter experts to develop accurate, relevant and audience-focused content.
    • Adapt messaging across different channels and audiences while maintaining a consistent tone of voice and brand identity.
    • Use audience insight, website analytics, email performance and campaign results to continually improve content effectiveness.
    • Work with Digital Marketing colleagues to optimise content across websites and email platforms, with a focus on SEO, search visibility and emerging AI-driven search behaviours.
    • Support communications for events and webinars, including invitations, presentations and supporting content.
    • Ensure all content is on-brand, client-centric and compliant with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
    • Act as an ambassador for the organisation's tone of voice and brand guidelines.
    • Stay up to date with developments across wealth management, financial planning, digital content and wider content marketing trends.

    Experience required:

    • Strong professional experience in writing, editing and proofreading, ideally within financial services, wealth management, journalism, publishing, content marketing or an editorial environment.
    • Experience creating digital-first content across websites, email, social media and campaigns.
    • An interest in, or understanding of, wealth management, financial planning, pensions, retirement, tax-efficient planning or personal finance.
    • Excellent editorial judgement and the ability to tailor content to different audiences.
    • Strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate complex subjects simply and effectively.
    • Experience working within a regulated environment would be advantageous.
    • A degree or professional qualification in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing or a related discipline would be helpful, although strong writing experience and examples of published work are more important.
    • Familiarity with CMS and email marketing platforms would be beneficial.
    • An understanding of SEO, digital content optimisation and emerging search trends, including generative search and AI-driven content discovery, would be advantageous.

    Skills & Attributes

    • An excellent writer and editor with a strong eye for detail.
    • Audience-focused, with a natural understanding of what makes content useful, relevant and engaging.
    • Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.
    • Proactive and confident, comfortable taking ownership and using your initiative.
    • Collaborative, able to build effective relationships with stakeholders across teams and jurisdictions.
    • Commercially aware, with an understanding of how high-quality content can support engagement, brand and business objectives.
