Senior Technical Manager - top 10 firm
An award winning top 10 firm based in Central London, are looking to recruit a Senior Technical Manager. As Senior Technical Manager, you will support high quality audit service delivery, by working as part of engagement teams to provide technical advice, and input to address key audit risks. The firm's audit clients are spread across a variety of sectors and range from small owner managed business right the way to FTSE and AIM listed organisations.
Your time will be focussed on the most complex, high risk audit areas, ensuring that risks are addressed either by the engagement team or performing audit work yourself in some cases.
Due to the continued growth of the firm's client base, the technical team will continue to develop over the next few years meaning that there is a significant opportunity for progression.
Senior Technical Manager responsibilities
- Providing technical advice and support to auditors across the spectrum of clients and sectors which the firm serves, regarding audit methodology, auditing standards compliance, Companies Act and similar requirements, and financial reporting standards (e.g. FRS102, IFRS).
- Freedom to develop innovative solutions to develop an audit approach to address key audit risks including, where possible, enhanced use of technology
- Developing guidance, training, audit methodology, client facing advice and other materials to support the delivery of high-quality audit services.
This role would suit someone who is currently working in a Technical role and looking for a step up in responsibility or an existing Audit Manager who is looking to move away from a client facing role.
