    Field Sales Manager

    London Permanent £55k - £60k

    Field Sales Manager

    About the job

Our client is an established financial services organisation specialising in premium finance solutions, working closely with a broad network of brokers and intermediary partners. As part of continued growth, they are looking for a Field Sales Manager to take ownership of a defined territory and play a key role in expanding the business.

This role is centred around building strong commercial relationships, identifying opportunities for growth and ensuring existing accounts continue to perform. You will have responsibility for developing your territory, winning new business and strengthening relationships with established brokers, while using commercial insight and performance data to identify where further opportunities exist. Working closely with colleagues across the wider business, you will be an important link between clients and the organisation, ensuring a high level of service while delivering against ambitious growth objectives.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Take ownership of an allocated territory and develop a clear plan to grow revenue, increase market penetration and improve portfolio performance.
    • Build trusted, long-term relationships with brokers and intermediary partners, becoming a valued commercial contact and strategic partner.
    • Identify prospective clients and new business opportunities, developing these through to successful conversion.
    • Manage and maintain a healthy sales pipeline, ensuring opportunities are prioritised and progressed effectively.
    • Take responsibility for achieving agreed sales and revenue targets, with a strong focus on sustainable and profitable growth.
    • Develop existing accounts by understanding individual client needs and identifying opportunities to increase engagement and share of business.
    • Lead renewal and retention activity, ensuring existing relationships are protected and developed over the long term.
    • Introduce clients to new products and propositions, demonstrating how these can support their business and customer needs.
    • Work closely with internal teams to resolve client issues, manage escalations and ensure queries are handled effectively.
    • Use customer and portfolio data to understand performance, spot emerging trends and identify areas requiring intervention.
    • Regularly review account performance and take a proactive approach to addressing opportunities, risks and underperformance.
    • Keep accurate records of client activity, opportunities and relationship development through the relevant CRM and sales systems.

    Experience Required

We are looking for someone with a strong commercial background and a proven ability to develop relationships and deliver sales growth. You will be confident working independently, comfortable managing a territory or portfolio and able to balance new business activity with the development and retention of existing accounts.

    You should have:

    • A strong background in sales, business development or relationship management.
    • A proven track record of delivering against, and ideally exceeding, sales or commercial targets.
    • Experience developing relationships with external clients, partners or intermediaries.
    • Strong business development skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and turn them into revenue.
    • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to engage stakeholders at different levels.
    • A commercial and analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret performance information and turn it into practical actions.
    • Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage a varied workload and multiple client relationships.
    • A proactive approach to problem solving and identifying opportunities for improvement.
    • The ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with colleagues across the wider organisation.
    • Good working knowledge of CRM systems and confidence using data and reporting tools.

Experience within financial services, insurance, premium finance or another regulated financial environment would be advantageous. Previous field-based sales experience and exposure to working with brokers or intermediary networks would also be beneficial.
