A leading Big 4 advisory firm is expanding its market-leading Deal Advisory Tax team and is looking for experienced M&A Tax professionals at Senior Manager level. This is an opportunity to join one of the most dynamic areas of tax advisory, working with major corporates, private equity investors, financial institutions and infrastructure funds on transactions ranging from £10 million to multi-billion-pound deals. You'll become part of a nationally integrated team that combines deep sector expertise with global reach, advising clients throughout the full transaction lifecycle from acquisition and due diligence through to structuring, refinancing, disposals and post-deal support.
The Opportunity
As a Deal Advisory Tax Senior Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering commercially focused tax advice on some of the market's most interesting transactions. Depending on your experience and interests, you'll have the opportunity to work with specialist teams covering areas such as:
- Private Equity & Credit - advising investment funds and financial sponsors on acquisitions, disposals, due diligence, structuring, refinancing and portfolio company matters.
- Real Estate - supporting investors and funds on complex property transactions, investment structures and real estate deals.
- Corporate Transactions - advising large UK and international businesses on acquisitions, disposals, carve-outs, demergers and joint ventures.
- Energy & Infrastructure - working with investors and businesses across infrastructure, renewables and energy transition projects.
You'll work closely with Partners and Directors, take ownership of client relationships and help shape solutions to complex tax challenges in fast-moving deal environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of M&A tax advisory projects across a range of sectors and transaction types.
- Provide commercially focused advice on due diligence, structuring, transaction modelling and tax risk.
- Work closely with Partners and Directors on complex, high-value transactions.
- Build trusted relationships with clients, legal advisers, investment professionals and wider stakeholders.
- Analyse transaction documents and financial information, identifying key tax issues and opportunities.
- Coordinate input from UK and international tax specialists to deliver integrated advice.
- Manage project delivery, budgets and timelines while maintaining high-quality client service.
- Support business development through proposals, pitches, networking and client relationship building.
- Coach and develop junior team members, supporting their technical and professional growth.
- Contribute to market insights, thought leadership and the continued development of the Deal Advisory Tax practice.
About You
- ACA, CTA, CA or equivalent professional qualification.
- Strong UK Corporate Tax experience, with exposure to M&A, Transaction Tax or advisory work.
- Experience delivering tax advice in a professional services environment.
- A strong commercial mindset with the ability to translate technical issues into practical solutions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Confidence building relationships with senior stakeholders and clients.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
