Audit Manager - Mandarin Speaking

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Audit Manager who is fluent in Mandarin to join the London practice of a growing and highly respected mid-tier accountancy firm.
The role sits within a successful Audit team and will work closely with Partners to support and develop the firm's Far East client portfolio. You'll take ownership of a diverse portfolio of Chinese-owned businesses and Far East groups, acting as a trusted adviser to clients while playing an active role in the continued growth of the firm's presence within the Chinese business community.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Audit Manager who combines strong technical audit experience with Mandarin language skills, international exposure and strong client relationship capabilities.
The Role
You'll take responsibility for managing a portfolio of clients, working closely with Partners and overseas finance teams to deliver high-quality audits and exceptional client service.
A key part of the role will involve developing long-term relationships with Chinese-speaking clients and coordinating international group audits, including working with overseas component auditors across different jurisdictions and time zones.
You'll also play an important role in helping the firm grow its Far East client base, identifying opportunities to broaden relationships and introduce additional audit, tax and advisory services.
Key Responsibilities

Work closely with Partners to manage and develop the firm's Far East Audit portfolio.

Act as a key point of contact for clients, developing strong and long-term relationships.

Communicate confidently with Chinese-speaking clients and overseas finance teams in Mandarin.

Manage audits for Chinese-owned businesses and Far East groups, including international group audit engagements.

Coordinate with overseas component auditors and stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions and time zones.

Plan and monitor audit assignments, resources and budgets to ensure deadlines and targets are met.

Develop a strong understanding of clients' businesses, operations, risks and strategic objectives.

Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders across the UK and Far East.

Ensure audit files are completed to a high standard and ready for Partner/RI review.

Make recommendations to Partners and/or the Responsible Individual as part of file reviews and continuous improvement.

Liaise with internal departments to ensure assignments are delivered efficiently and effectively.

Monitor WIP, billing and recoverability across the portfolio, providing regular updates to the Relationship Partner and/or RI.

Identify opportunities to enhance client service through additional audit, tax and advisory services.

Support the continued growth of the firm's Far East client base through networking, relationship development and business development activity.

Develop a strong understanding of the business culture and operating environment of Far East clients.

Maintain the highest standards of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism in all client and colleague relationships.
About You
We're looking for an experienced Audit Manager who can combine strong audit credentials with the ability to build trusted relationships across international markets.
You'll ideally have:

Strong experience gained within an audit practice, ideally at Manager level.

Experience managing a portfolio of audit clients from planning through to completion.

Experience working with Chinese-owned businesses, Far East groups or international clients.

Fluency in Mandarin, both spoken and written, is essential.

Experience coordinating international group audits and/or working with overseas component auditors.
