About the Role: A prestigious Top 10 accounting firm based in Central London is seeking an experienced and dynamic External Audit Assistant Manager to join their team. Key Responsibilities:
- Leading audit engagements from planning to completion for a varied portfolio of UK and international clients.
- Ensuring audits are conducted in accordance with IFRS standards.
- Managing and mentoring audit teams, providing guidance and support to junior staff.
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for client queries.
- Reviewing audit work papers and ensuring that audit files are completed to a high standard.
- Assisting in business development activities, including proposals and presentations to potential clients.
- Keeping up to date with changes in auditing standards and regulations, and ensuring the audit team is informed and trained on these changes.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in an audit role, with a significant portion of this experience focused on IFRS.
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and auditing standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple audit engagements simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients and team members.
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Experience working with international clients is highly desirable.
