Senior NPI Engineer

The Role
The Senior NPI Engineer will provide technical leadership across New Product Introduction projects, ensuring the seamless integration of new products into existing manufacturing processes. This is a key role within the engineering team, focused on driving successful product launches, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and direction for NPI projects, ensuring effective integration into plant manufacturing processes.
- Lead and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and product/process development to enhance quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Support the development and execution of strategic engineering plans aligned with organisational growth objectives.
- Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional development.
- Support internal automation initiatives in partnership with manufacturing and cross-functional teams to optimise plant operations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable quality, regulatory, and safety standards; actively participate in audits and compliance improvements.
- Assist in managing capital expenditure projects, including tracking, reporting, and forecasting budgets.
- Drive improvements in engineering systems and site procedures to support operational excellence.
- Contribute to Key Cost to Win programmes, ensuring timely and effective implementation.
- Perform additional duties as required to support team and organisational success.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum BSc in Engineering (MSc desirable).
- 3-5 years' engineering experience, with direct involvement in New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.
- Proven experience integrating new products into existing manufacturing environments and supporting successful product launches.
- Project Management experience is desirable.
- Lean Six Sigma qualification advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence outcomes in high-demand NPI environments, particularly under tight timelines and resource constraints.
- Agile learner with the ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and evolving NPI requirements.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of delivering measurable results.
