We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to provide comprehensive governance, oversight, and technical compliance for all electrical activities across our high-volume manufacturing floor. This key role is responsible for ensuring that all vendors, contractors, and internal engineers adhere strictly to site electrical standards and Irish/EU compliance directives, covering all production equipment and lines.
Key Deliverables & Responsibilities:
- Compliance & Governance: Act as the primary authority for reviewing and overseeing all electrical activities (installation, modification, maintenance) executed by internal teams, vendors, and contractors to ensure compliance with stringent Irish and EU electrical standards and Medical Device requirements.
- Drawing Strategy & Review: Define the site's electrical drawing strategy, conduct detailed design reviews, and manage documentation (including proficiency with E-CAD systems). Requires a very keen eye for design.
- Vendor & Installation Oversight: Manage engagement with electrical vendors, conduct thorough visual inspections of new/modified equipment, and complete commissioning assessments and sign-offs.
- Safety Process: Review and contribute to the site's overall electrical safety processes.
- Technical Support & Accountability: Provide hands-on guidance and support to engineers and production teams during complex electrical issues, while also holding electrical personnel accountable for quality and standards adherence.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive the introduction and maintenance of updated site electrical standards and procedures.
Essential Experience:
- Proven experience in a Senior/Lead Electrical Engineering role focused heavily on governance, oversight, and compliance.
- Mandatory: Deep familiarity and demonstrated experience working with Irish and EU electrical compliance standards and directives.
- Expertise in electrical systems from LV Distribution to 24V Control/Automation within a regulated, high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical background in electrical design review and robust proficiency with E-CAD software.
- Ability to perform detailed in-person checks, write comprehensive reports, and manage site-wide electrical documentation.
