They are seeking a dedicated and experienced Credit Controller to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the credit control function efficiently, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts while maintaining strong relationships with clients. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end credit control process
- Proactively monitor customer accounts to identify and address overdue payments and outstanding balances.
- Communicate effectively with customers via phone, email, and other channels to facilitate prompt resolution of payment issues and negotiate payment plans when necessary.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including sales, customer service, and finance teams, to resolve queries and discrepancies related to invoicing and payments.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and payment statuses using our internal systems and software.
- Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable aging and cash flow projections for management review.
- Evaluate and assess creditworthiness of new and existing customers, making recommendations for credit limits and terms in line with company policies.
- Continuously review and improve credit control procedures and policies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in credit control or accounts receivable management, ideally within a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and resolve conflicts professionally.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
