Morgan McKinley is partnering with a global mnc client to hire a Finance Manager to oversee its monthly financial reporting and local statutory compliance in Malaysia. This role focuses on ensuring seamless alignment between local statutory books and group financial reporting, managing audit cycles, and driving regional SEA finance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the timely and accurate preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring seamless alignment between local statutory books and group financial reporting.
- Manage all local statutory reporting, tax filings, and regulatory compliance requirements within Malaysia.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretarial advisors to ensure smooth, compliant audit cycles.
- Maintain and strengthen internal financial controls and accounting processes to ensure adherence to group policies and reporting standards.
- Collaborate on regional finance projects across Southeast Asia (SEA), driving specialized operational support for the Acumen channel.
- Identify and implement continuous improvements to streamline reporting workflows, shorten closing timelines, and enhance overall data quality.
- Lead, coach, and scale the local finance team while actively balancing hands-on operational delivery with high-level supervisory duties and ad-hoc management requests.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification.
- 3-4 years in public audit (Big 4 experience highly regarded), coupled with 2-4 years in a commercial finance role.
- Exceptional grounding in technical accounting standards, financial controls, and multi-entity group reporting.
- A hands-on, detail-oriented professional who excels in fast-paced environments-equally comfortable executing operational tasks and driving high-level process improvements.
