Energy Pricing Analyst

Role: This role involves analyzing energy markets and pricing to support a renewable energy business.

Location: Newbridge

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain electricity market pricing models.
• Produce regular price forecasts for various business units.
• Analyze market conditions, competitor activities, and identify risks/opportunities.
• Support trading team with market analysis and operational changes.
• Analyze commercial agreements and ensure compliance.
• Report on trends, KPIs, and business performance.

Requirements:

• Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., statistics, economics, mathematics, finance).
• 3-5 years experience in power price forecasting, market analysis, or trading.
• Expertise in Plexos modeling tool and Excel.
• Strong analytical and statistical skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (SQL, Python, AWS).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
