Morgan McKinley is partnering with a banking organisation to find an experienced Finance Manager.
This role would suit a Chartered Accountant with a financial services background, ideally from banking, having had exposure to regulatory reporting and tax.
The person:
- ACA/ACCA/CPA qualified Accountant with a minimum of 5 years post qualified experience
- Experience in financial services or banking.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Dynamics
- Experience of financial reporting requirements for the Central Bank of Ireland.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
The role:
- Completion of all tax returns, tax control framework and the related governance.
- Responsible for financial regulatory returns and the maintenance of the governance framework.
- Provision of expert advice for all Tax and Finance related matters for the Irish Branch.
- Completion of all financial regulatory returns to the Central Bank of Ireland
- Formal review of business unit P&L performance with department leaders providing supporting analysis and insights to drive improved performance and decision making.
- Work closely with the Country Manager on profit and loss and costs strategy and plans for the Branch.
- Deliver month end journals and month end P&L and Balance sheet analysis
- Provide P&L forecasting as required.
- Co-ordinate with Group function in accounting registration codes maintenance for various units
- Completion of subsidiary annual financial statements and external audit.
- Support operation risk managers in drafting business risk control procedures to highest standards
- Responsible for Tax Risk Assessments and engaging proactively with colleagues in Risk teams.
- Collaborating with the Compliance, Risk and Legal teams to ensure seamless implementation of regulatory required changes for Tax and Finance.
- Ad hoc duties as required.
