Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a motivated and ambitious sales professional to join their expanding team and play a key role in market analysis and pipeline development.
This position will focus on identifying and generating new business opportunities through a combination of proactive outreach and collaborative sales initiatives. Working closely with both Sales and Marketing teams, you will help identify target organisations, engage prospective customers, qualify opportunities, and contribute to the overall sales growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive outbound business development activity by identifying, prospecting, and generating qualified sales opportunities for the senior sales team.
- Develop and maintain targeted prospect databases across key industry sectors to support pipeline growth initiatives.
- Respond to and qualify inbound enquiries, ensuring smooth handover of sales-ready opportunities.
- Utilise a variety of channels including online research, email campaigns, social platforms, CRM databases, and networking tools to identify potential customers within target markets.
- Conduct proactive outreach and cold-calling activity to engage decision-makers and uncover new business opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with prospective clients through consistent and creative follow-up communication.
- Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound interactions in a professional and organised manner.
- Facilitate discovery and qualification meetings with potential customers to assess business needs.
- Deliver introductory product presentations and support pre-sales discussions by demonstrating how the solution addresses client challenges.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activity and prospect engagement within the CRM system.
- Prepare regular reports and updates on pipeline development and business development performance.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year's experience in lead generation, business development, or SaaS sales, ideally within an SDR/BDR environment.
- Previous experience in direct sales and/or customer support would be advantageous.
- Strong IT skills with proficiency across Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and collaboration tools such as Zoom.
