About the role:
Our client is a US leading B2B distributor with a regional sourcing hub in HK. They are dedicated to providing high-quality hardgoods to customers. They are seeking an Assistant Sourcing Manager to support the sourcing operations and contribute to the growth. This role will be tasked with vendor sourcing and consolidation and supplier data analysis working in a small sourcing team in HK. Cantonese and Mandarin speaking required
Key Responsibilities
- Supplier Management: Assist in identifying, evaluating, and maintaining relationships with China and offshore suppliers to ensure product quality and reliability.
- Sourcing Strategy: Support the development and implementation of sourcing strategies for hardgoods.
- Cost Analysis: Conduct cost analyses and contribute to negotiations to achieve competitive pricing.
- Order Management: Monitor and track orders from placement to delivery, ensuring timely fulfillment and resolving any issues that arise.
- Market Research: Stay informed on market trends and competitor offerings to identify sourcing opportunities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, logistics, and quality assurance.
Qualifications
- Experience: 8-10 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in hardgoods.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in Technology: Familiarity with sourcing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
