Junior Sourcing and PD Specialist (Apparel, Local Retailer)

Our client is a local retailer and is hiring a Junior Sourcing Specialist to support the sourcing and merchandising efforts. This role is perfect for someone with 2-3 years of experience in merchandising or product development who is eager to learn and grow within a vibrant retail & sourcing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in product development and sourcing from vendors and manufacturers.
• Collaborate with the merchandising team to ensure product alignment with brand strategy.
• Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate pricing and terms.
• Support inventory management and product lifecycle processes.
• Prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in apparel merchandising, product development, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Knowledge of retail trends and consumer behavior is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
