Key Responsibilities:
Act as the SME for the General Insurance Core System, providing expertise on system functionalities, workflows, and integration points.
Lead business analysis activities, including requirement gathering, process mapping, gap analysis, and solution design for core system replacement and modernization projects.
Define and document detailed business requirements, functional specifications, and data migration strategies for large-scale system transformations.
Collaborate with IT teams, business users, and third-party vendors to ensure smooth project execution, timely delivery, and adherence to business needs.
Conduct impact analysis, risk assessments, and feasibility studies to support decision-making on system enhancements and process improvements.
Ensure seamless data migration by defining mapping rules, validation processes, and reconciliation mechanisms.
Provide user training, support UAT, and troubleshoot issues during system implementation.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree holder
10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the insurance industry, with a strong focus on General Insurance (GI) products and operations.
Proven track record in end-to-end system change delivery, including large-scale core system modernization, migration, and implementation projects.
Hands-on experience with modernized core insurance platforms and data migration tools/techniques.
Strong ability to lead business analysis independently, from requirement elicitation to solution validation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Outstanding communication skills (English, Cantonese, Mandarin), with the ability to influence stakeholders and facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and a fast learner, capable of thriving in a dynamic project environment.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have):
Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, PMI-PBA) or General Insurance (ANZIIF, ACII).
Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies and using tools like JIRA, Confluence, or SQL.
