Collaborate with local HR personnel and external payroll vendors to oversee payroll operations for multiple entities across the APAC region, ensuring precision, punctuality, and adherence to local regulations and company policies.
Independently manage the monthly payroll process for entities based in Hong Kong.
Implement and maintain strong internal controls, continually evaluating processes to drive enhancements in efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Take charge of payroll compliance and filings, including addressing requests from local authorities and internal/external audits.
Act as the primary contact for APAC countries, assisting employees with payroll, tax, and benefits inquiries.
Identify opportunities to optimize HR operational activities for increased efficiency and improved employee satisfaction.
Keep abreast of regional payroll regulations and compliance requirements to ensure alignment with local laws.
Support regional compensation and benefits reviews and initiatives.
Collaborate with local HR teams and tax agents to manage expatriate tax administration.
Review invoices from payroll vendors and tax agents.
Manage audit queries by providing necessary documentation and information.
Handle statutory payroll-related surveys.
Support HR operations and provide backup when necessary.
Requirements:
4-5 years of experience in a financial services company.
Proficiency in payroll management, compliance, and HR operations.
Strong understanding of regional payroll regulations and tax laws.
Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Proven track record in process improvement and project management.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
