Analyze market trends in the mining industry, including commodity prices, regulatory changes, and geopolitical factors impacting investments.
Prepare investment memos, pitch decks, and reports for internal stakeholders and external partners.
Collaborate with geologists, engineers, and finance teams to integrate technical data into financial strategies.
Monitor portfolio performance of mining investments and recommend optimizations or divestitures.
Stay updated on industry developments through research, conferences, and networking to inform strategic recommendations.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a closely related field; advanced certifications in mining geology preferred.
4-9 years of professional experience in the mining sector, such as exploration, resource assessment, or mining consulting firms.
Demonstrated interest and foundational knowledge in corporate finance or strong enthusiasm for mergers and acquisitions in natural resources.
Proficiency in geological software (e.g., GIS, modeling tools) and financial tools (e.g., Excel, Bloomberg).
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret geological data for investment decisions.
Strong communication and presentation abilities.
Willingness to travel to mining sites as needed.
Authorization to work in Hong Kong.
