This is an exciting opportunity to join a facilities management business to manage the electrical and mechanical systems within a critical facility. In this role, you will lead a technical team, troubleshoot equipment and network outages, and oversee external contractors to ensure safety and service standards are met.
Job Duties:
- Repair daily equipment breakdowns and restore normal operations.
- Manage large-scale network or site outages, ensuring all records are properly updated.
- Maintain organized logs for system settings, technical guides, and routine maintenance tasks.
- Draft, implement, and check standard, emergency, and step-by-step operating guidelines.
- Check that all mechanical and electrical equipment is serviced according to client or manufacturer rules.
- Watch over on-site vendors and risk assessments to ensure they follow health and safety laws.
- Guide outside contractors to make sure their repair work meets quality standards and contract agreements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
- 4 to 5 years of related work experience, ideally in data centers or critical environments.
- Must hold a valid Registered Electrical Worker (REW) License.
- Well-organized with a curious and questioning mindset.
- Strong technical knowledge of building services, especially UPS, generators, static switches, water treatment, refrigeration, and air conditioning.
- Able to lead, motivate, and guide a technical and engineering team.
