About the Role & Company Our client is a Western-style Fortune 500 company and the global leader in the data center industry. They are offering a full-time, 1-year contract. This role focuses purely on revenue accounting for the APAC region, reporting to Singapore. If you prefer strictly financial accounting without FP&A or budgeting tasks, this role is built for you.
Core Responsibilities

Oversee month-end close activities for the Revenue Operation team to ensure accurate reporting.

Prepare monthly account reconciliations for Deferred Revenue, Unbilled A/R, and other balance sheet accounts.

Generate monthly and quarterly manual journal entries for revenue accounts.

Conduct thorough analysis of balance sheet fluctuations and make necessary adjustments.

Use Oracle Cloud ERP and RevPro to process contractual and billing data, ensuring accurate revenue recognition.

Support internal and external auditors with SOX reporting, revenue sampling, and controls testing.

Consolidate massive data from multiple external sources into unified internal management reports.
What You Need to Succeed (The Realities)

Hong Kong Resident: You strictly must live in Hong Kong to comply with company policies. Cross-border arrangements are not permitted.

Accountant First: We need someone with strong, foundational full-cycle accounting logic. Pure data analysts will not fit; you must deeply understand revenue recognition principles.

Big Data Skills: You will handle enormous datasets that regularly exceed Excel's 1-million row limit. Power Pivot skills are absolutely critical.

Month-End Hustle: The closing cycle is a compressed and heavy 3-day window. Work intensifies the week before month-end, and you will also need to track contract statuses weekly.

Holiday Flexibility: If a month-end falls on a public holiday, you must be willing to work (rewarded with Compensatory Leave, no cash payouts). Once trusted to work independently, the Line Manager will allow you to do this holiday overtime from home.
Key Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of experience in Revenue Accounting.

Degree holder; CPA certification or public accounting experience is a strong plus.

Proficiency in Oracle Cloud ERP.

A basic understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) is a plus, but we value core accounting knowledge above all.
