Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Specialist / Assistant Payroll Manager. The ideal candidate will assist in managing payroll processes and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and manage payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in status.
- Assist in the preparation of payroll reports and summaries for management review.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and related issues.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate benefits administration and deductions.
- Support the Assistant Payroll Manager in payroll audits and reconciliations.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in payroll processing and administration.
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
