Overview
Role sits in Custody within Securities Services - Custody is the largest revenue generating product unit within the Securities Services line of business, with a footprint spanning over 100 markets, including 63 proprietary bank branches. It provides settlement, custody, asset servicing, collective investment schemes and FX for two core business lines, Global Custody and Direct Custody, servicing institutional clients.
This is a mid-level project / program manager role in which the expectation is to have had previous experience driving programs in the project management field. Ideally looking for someone who has worked on business change (not just tech) in a regulated industry (i.e. financial services) who has some experience of working in a Data-intensive environment with associated controls.
You will be expected to operate independently, while interacting with your clients and stakeholders on a day-to-day basis. You will lead projects or programs with a broad impact across the organization and may be required to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Additionally, you will be expected to be the subject matter expert in project methodology and consistently follow established processes while proactively identifying opportunities for improvement. You will be responsible for ensuring all workstream owners within your project(s) are informed and follow established procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Makes decisions in end-to-end project management, demonstrating ownership of the entire process from beginning to end while developing and implementing program and project level processes and performance metrics.
- Drive the pace of work for self and other project resources while independently managing the program holistically.
- Supports planning, directing and coordination of day-to-day activities of running a program.
- Assesses creation and signoff of program plan and charter, benefits management plan, stakeholder management plan, acceptance plan, and central program issue log.
- Oversees program plans meet business needs as described in the program initiation documents.
- Ensures all stakeholders are identified and included in scope definition activities and understand the program schedule and key milestones.
- Works with Program Sponsor to ensure business case cost benefit analysis is in line with business objectives.
- Monitors program commitment from those assigning resources.
- Escalates program risks to the Program Director, or Program Sponsor, when appropriate.
- Creates the program risk management plan.
- Works with procurement team to create, administer, track, and eventually close program.
- Directs area supported through responsibility for delivery of end results.
- Ensures essential procedures are followed and contributes to defining standards.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding the bankcii, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications
- 6-10 years of program management experience
- PMP/other Project Management certification is a plus
Education
- Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
