Cloud DBA, 12 months contract

Responsibilities

• Direct the database team to guarantee round-the-clock availability, scalability, and operational support for critical business platforms.
• Architect, administer, and deploy databases across MS SQL Server, MongoDB, MySQL, AWS RDS, and Azure SQL environments.
• Mentor and guide the database team while cultivating ongoing skill enhancement and innovation.
• Supervise a geographically distributed delivery team spanning multiple Asian regions.

Skills Reqd

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a closely related discipline.
• More than 8 years of hands-on experience, including at least 3 years leading teams, with deep expertise in MS SQL Server, MongoDB, AWS, and Azure databases.
• Advanced expertise in database management, including backup/recovery strategies, performance optimization, tuning, and encryption techniques.
• Hands-on proficiency with MS SQL Server, MongoDB, AWS RDS, Azure SQL PaaS, and Azure SQL Managed Instance, along with strong data migration and scripting skills.
• Proficient in English.
