VP Loan Operations Asset Manager | Dublin | Hybrid
Morgan McKinley is proud to partner with an institutional asset manager that specializes in providing innovative solutions for those seeking capital in special situations. This asset manager focuses on off-the-beaten-path, stressed, distressed, illiquid, and unique special situation investments, covering a broad spectrum of asset types, including private direct corporate credit, commercial real estate bridge financing, and commercial and consumer assets.
They are seeking a Vice President to join the Operations team, with a primary focus on internal loan administration. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across every stage of the origination process for private and syndicated loans, as well as structured financing deals. The ideal candidate will be driven, resourceful, and able to collaborate effectively with various internal departments.
Main Responsibilities:
- Take part in discussions concerning the structuring of legal entities for joint venture structures.
- Assist in compiling, inputting, and tracking static data within internal and external platforms.
- Manage loan administration where the company acts as agent, coordinating with borrowers on interest and principal payments, drawdowns, and deal modifications.
- Oversee daily portfolio management within the internal Loan Management System (LMS).
- Support the funding process, managing cash flow, forecasting, and closing wire transfers.
- Ensure proper documentation of all deals, both internally and with external service providers.
- Monitor and reconcile cash activity within loan-specific external accounts, ensuring daily reconciliation of the Fund Administrator Loan Administration.
- Assist with coordination of board meetings and the regulatory management of designated entities, including providing background on investments and managing related oversight.
- Experience with Irish 110 Designated Activity Company structures is highly beneficial.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from a leading university, ideally in a quantitative field such as finance, economics, or accounting.
- At least 8 years of direct experience in loan administration and/or agency operations within a securities or investment firm.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VBA knowledge is an advantage) and excellent written communication skills.
- Experience in private credit loan origination is advantageous.
- Familiarity with systems such as Wall Street Office (WSO), Loan IQ, or similar platforms is a plus.
- High levels of integrity and ethical conduct.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude and collaborative work approach.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively.
