As a Supply Chain Specialist you will play a pivotal role in optimizing supply chain operations by forecasting demand accurately and ensuring that inventory levels align with customer needs. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in demand planning within a fast-paced environment, with a strong proficiency in SAP software.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Monitor inventory levels and stock movements, analyze demand patterns, and develop inventory strategies to optimize stock levels while minimizing excess inventory and stockouts.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including production, sales, and finance teams, to develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts and production plans.
- Work closely with production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure that inventory levels are optimized to meet demand while minimizing excess inventory.
- Utilize supply chain management software and tools to track shipments, monitor order status, and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve supply chain processes, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency, collaborating with internal teams and external partners as needed.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to supply chain activities, including import/export regulations, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Provide regular reports and analysis to management on demand planning performance, including forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and other relevant metrics.
Key requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven supply chain within a manufacturing, distribution, or retail environment.
- Strong proficiency in SAP software, particularly in the areas of demand planning and inventory management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in forecasting and data analysis.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS CPIM) is a plus.
