As an Indirect Buyer, you will play a key role in managing the procurement process for indirect goods and services essential to operations. You will be responsible for identifying cost-saving opportunities, negotiating contracts with suppliers, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining the highest quality standards. This position requires strong analytical skills, negotiation abilities, and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop detailed plans for different spending categories to optimize procurement strategies.
- Manage ongoing tender processes, financial requisitions, and purchase order approvals in accordance with established protocols.
- Assist in coordinating the Demand Planning process and ensure adherence to schedules.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and delivery performance.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide timely and effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements throughout the procurement process.
Key requirements:
- Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, with a focus on indirect procurement preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, e-procurement platforms) is highly desirable.
