About the Role:
Reporting to the Head of Examinations and Assessment, you'll supervise the daily operations of the Examinations Office. Key responsibilities include managing exam timetables, coordinating with external examiners, overseeing grade and award processing, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You'll also provide leadership to the team, support process improvement initiatives, and act as a key contact for complex operational queries.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily Exams Office operations and deputise for the Head as needed
Coordinate examination scheduling, logistics, and special accommodations
Ensure accuracy in broadsheets, grade processing, and awards
Liaise with faculty, external examiners, and validating bodies
Administer exam systems and manage queries via Zendesk
Support certification processes and compliance with QQI standards
Drive continuous improvements and system updates
Ideal Candidate:
Degree or equivalent (desirable) with 3+ years' relevant experience
Background in academic administration at third-level education
Strong knowledge of academic Marks and Standards
Proven leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
Highly organised with sound judgement and attention to detail
