We are seeking a high-caliber Project / Equipment Engineer to lead technical delivery within a fast-paced Drug Product environment. Reporting to the Senior Manager for Engineering Projects, you will be the technical lead for upgrades across Lyophilisation, Formulation, Filling, and Inspection suites.
This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys the balance of high-level project management and "boots-on-the-ground" technical troubleshooting.
Core Impact Areas
- End-to-End Project Delivery: Own the lifecycle of equipment upgrades-from initial concept and scoping through to design, construction, and commissioning.
- Operational Readiness: Ensure a seamless transition to the end-user by developing robust maintenance programs, spare parts inventories, and reliability strategies for new assets.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Act as the subject matter expert for equipment issues prior to qualification, leading root cause investigations and cross-functional problem-solving.
- Compliance Leadership: Navigate a rigorous GMP/GDP environment by managing change controls and authoring high-quality technical protocols and SOPs.
- Strategic Collaboration: Partner with vendors, maintenance teams, and capital project leads to ensure all retrofits and installations meet strict site requirements.
The Ideal Candidate
- Technical Foundation: Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Industry Pedigree: 3+ years in a technical engineering role, specifically within a GMP biopharma or highly regulated manufacturing setting.
- Execution Skills: Proven track record in project management (MS Project) with the ability to hit tight deadlines without compromising safety or quality.
- Hands-on Mindset: Strong mechanical aptitude and a "data-driven" approach to solving complex equipment failures.
- Mobility: Ready to travel as needed to support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for new equipment.
