About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer with a strong background in OT Cyber Security and Disaster Recovery to join a leading regulated manufacturing site in Bray. This role is a unique hybrid of day-to-day automation support and high-impact strategic projects, specifically focusing on the execution of an OT Cyber Security Remediation Program and the deployment of the Octoplant platform.
You will play a pivotal role in strengthening the site's cyber security posture, establishing standardized patching processes, and ensuring robust backup and disaster recovery (DR) readiness within a strict GMP environment.
Key Responsibilities
- OT Cyber Security & Remediation: Support the site's remediation program, managing vulnerability patching, user access controls, and system hardening.
- Disaster Recovery & Backups: Define, implement, and document structured backup/restore strategies and execute DR testing for critical automation systems.
- Octoplant Deployment: Lead the configuration and site-wide integration of Octoplant for centralized backups, version control, and asset visibility.
- Day-to-Day Automation Support: Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC, SCADA, and HMI infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime and operational compliance.
- Compliance & Validation: Ensure all engineering activities adhere to GMP, change control, and validation standards (FAT/SAT/IQ/OQ).
Your Profile
- Degree in Engineering (Automation, Electrical, Computer Science, or equivalent).
- 5+ years of experience as an Automation Engineer within a GMP manufacturing environment.
- Robust technical knowledge of major automation platforms (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, Mitsubishi, Wonderware, iFix) and industrial networks.
- Proven experience in at least one key area: OT Cyber Security programs, backup/recovery solutions, or system patching/lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with GAMP5, ISA/IEC standards, and 21 CFR Part 11.
- Experience with versioning tools like Octoplant is highly advantageous
