We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a BCBS239 (Principles for Effective Risk Data Aggregation and Risk Reporting) compliance programme. This role will drive the design, remediation, and embedding of risk data aggregation and reporting capabilities in line with regulatory expectations, working closely with Risk, Finance, Data, and Technology stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of the BCBS239 programme, including planning, governance, budgeting, and reporting to senior stakeholders and steering committees
- Own the project plan across data lineage, data quality, risk data architecture, and reporting workstreams, ensuring alignment with the 14 BCBS239 principles
- Coordinate with Risk, Finance, Data Governance, and IT teams to identify gaps against regulatory requirements and track remediation actions to closure
- Manage relationships with internal audit, compliance, and regulators (where applicable), ensuring evidence packs and documentation meet supervisory expectations
- Chair working groups and steering committees, producing clear status reporting, RAID logs, and executive updates
- Manage third-party vendors or consultants supporting the programme, where relevant
- Identify and mitigate programme risks, dependencies, and resourcing constraints
- Support the transition from remediation to business-as-usual (BAU) risk data aggregation and reporting processes
Required Experience
- Proven track record delivering BCBS239 or equivalent risk data aggregation/regulatory reporting programmes within banking or financial services
- Strong understanding of risk data governance, data lineage, data quality frameworks, and risk reporting processes
- Experience managing programmes involving Risk, Finance, and Technology stakeholders in a regulated environment
- Familiarity with regulatory expectations from the Central Bank of Ireland, ECB/SSM, or equivalent regulators
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to senior management and steering committees
- Formal project management qualification (PMP, Prince2, or equivalent) desirable
- Experience with agile or hybrid delivery methodologies an advantage
Desirable
- Prior experience in credit risk, market risk, or liquidity risk data domains
- Exposure to data governance tooling or risk data platforms
- Background in a Tier 1/Tier 2 bank or systemically important financial institution
