This is a strategic leadership role within a growing HR Transformation and Technology team. The successful candidate will help shape the future of Payroll and Workforce Management offerings across high-impact projects with major clients.
About the Role
As the PWFM Director, you'll work closely with senior Human Capital leaders to define and deliver the strategy for this critical practice area. You will play a key role in developing market offerings, leading multidisciplinary teams, and acting as a trusted advisor to clients on complex transformations, vendor selections, and HR systems implementation.

Responsibilities:
- Shape the strategic vision for the Payroll and Workforce Management function and lead its execution across a variety of client engagements.
- Spearhead business development efforts by identifying market opportunities and driving project wins.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding vendor selection processes and conducting assessments of existing and future-state HR and workforce management systems.
- Build and manage high-performing delivery teams, drawing expertise from across the wider consulting practice.
- Promote a collaborative, inclusive team culture and provide ongoing coaching, development, and growth opportunities.
- Ensure high standards in project delivery, with an emphasis on accuracy, efficiency, and impactful outcomes.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships and act as a key point of contact throughout project lifecycles.
- Collaborate with global counterparts to bring cutting-edge insights and a seamless experience to clients.
- Contribute to broader practice growth and innovation through thought leadership and internal initiatives.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6-9 years of experience in a consulting or professional services environment, with a strong focus on HR transformation and technology.
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Demonstrated leadership in client-facing roles, with a proven ability to manage complex programmes and cross-functional teams.
- Hands-on experience with HR systems - particularly Payroll and Workforce Management solutions such as UKG, ADP, Ceridian, or Infor.
- Strong commercial acumen and experience driving business development.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for mentoring and team development.
- A strategic thinker with a results-oriented approach and a commitment to inclusive leadership.
