Purpose of the Role:
We are seeking a committed professional to join our team, with a primary focus on leading the ongoing development and delivery of a revamped mortgage experience across both direct and broker channels. This position will involve managing and overseeing the continuous configuration of our mortgage origination platform and associated services.
This key role within the company offers a significant opportunity to shape the future of our mortgage business, contributing to our objective of making mortgages more accessible and easier for our customers. In addition to deep expertise in the financial services sector, particularly in mortgages, you should be passionate about challenging traditional practices and driving innovation in the market.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the continuous improvement of the mortgage platform through strategic planning and prioritization, including contributing to the development of program initiatives, defining goals, scope, and success metrics.
- Oversee the creation and execution of strategic technical roadmaps aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of mortgage processes for all stakeholders.
- Manage and strengthen partnerships with platform providers.
- Develop well-prioritized project plans and descriptions that meet user needs, while providing regular progress reports to management.
- Assist in managing the assigned budget effectively.
- Collaborate closely with design team managers and test leads to ensure that configuration changes are aligned with the broader business architecture.
- Help prioritize backlog items to ensure optimal return on investment in both time and resources.
- Work with Experience Managers and Configuration Analysts to define user stories necessary for larger development projects with our delivery partners.
- Support the testing of platform changes and work closely with users and the business to ensure successful implementation of these changes.
- Ensure that all change-related documentation, process maps, and user guides are current and relevant to the business audience.
- Regularly evaluate and improve existing workflows, processes, and methodologies.
- Oversee the testing of new changes and authorize their release into production.
- Collaborate with the Data & Analytics team to define enhanced reporting requirements that will evaluate the outcomes of initiatives before and after implementation.
- Provide additional support as required, based on capacity.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in leading transformational change within the financial services industry.
- Proven experience in technical project and program management, with a successful history of managing and transforming workflow platforms in an Agile environment.
- A business-focused project leader with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with multiple business stakeholders.
- Extensive knowledge and best practices in mortgage experience management.
- Experience in implementing changes on cloud-based platforms.
- Outstanding attention to detail and strategic planning skills.
- Strong communication abilities, with the capacity to clearly explain complex issues and engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Proven capability in managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Highly self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on action and achieving results.
