ROLE
Java eTrading Developer required to focus on the FICC Emerging Markets eTrading deliveries including algorithm development, strategic framework development and regulatory initiatives related to eTrading.
The successful candidate will be involved in the development of the next generation eTrading platform for the Emerging Markets business. The project will evolve to cover other asset classes as part of a cross-line-of-business strategic initiative. The successful candidate will be involved in all stages of the software development life cycle and will have daily interaction with traders, quants and senior stakeholders. You must be a self-starter and willing to work with new technologies.
At present the Emerging Markets eTrading risk development team is mainly based in London but we are looking to expand it in Dublin with a strategic vision of co-location.
REQUIRED SKILLS
* Previous experience at a tier one bank.
* Strong Rates/Fixed Income product knowledge desirable.
* Extensive experience of distributed, multi-threaded system development in Java (Java 1.8 preferred).
* Previous eTrading application development experience is highly advantageous but not essential.
* Previous python development experience
* Experience of industry standard Continuous Integration and automated testing tools.
* An appetite to work on a high profile project in a fast paced delivery focused environment
* Knowledge of electronic venues such as Bloomberg, TradeWeb, MarketAxess, TrueEx is desirable.
* Sound knowledge of software engineering design patterns and practices.

* Demonstrate an understanding of operational aspects of managing a software stack
