This senior leadership role will be pivotal in ensuring operational excellence across the Group's warehousing infrastructure, managing key logistics processes, and delivering first-class service to thier large branch network. The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, technology-driven process control, and team leadership within a high-volume, customer-focused distribution environment.
You'll work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and departments to optimize branch performance, enhance customer service delivery, and increase operational profitability. This role calls for a dynamic leader with a strong commercial mindset and a track record of delivering results in a multi-site environment. A candidate with experience in delivering results across multiple distribution centre's will be highly successful in this role.
This role will require a high level of travel and is therefore open to applicants based anywhere in Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse & Distribution Oversight:
Lead the national warehousing and distribution function, ensuring best-in-class standards in picking, packing, dispatch, and delivery performance.

Inventory Control & Accuracy:
Develop and enforce robust inventory control processes to minimise discrepancies, reduce stockholding inefficiencies, and improve fulfilment accuracy.

Operational Systems & Scanning Technology:
Champion the use and optimisation of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcoding, and scanning technologies to drive efficiency and accuracy in operations.

Process Optimisation & Continuous Improvement:
Lead continuous improvement initiatives across warehousing and logistics, leveraging data and operational insight to identify bottlenecks and implement lean practices.

People Leadership:
Manage, motivate, and develop warehouse and distribution teams, including frontline staff and site leadership, to ensure high engagement and strong performance.

H&S and Compliance:
Ensure all warehouse and transport operations are fully compliant with health & safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Budget Management & Cost Control:
Manage operational budgets for warehousing and logistics, ensuring cost-effective delivery while supporting service excellence.

Vendor & Transport Partner Management:
Oversee 3PL and delivery partners, ensuring contractual compliance, cost control, and service level adherence.

Strategic Contribution:
Collaborate with the CEO and wider senior leadership to align operational strategy with overall business growth plans.
Qualifications & Experience:

Education:
Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related discipline preferred.

Experience:
Minimum 7 years' experience in a senior warehousing, logistics, or distribution leadership role, preferably within a multi-site, fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams
- Proven experience in implementing or optimising WMS, RF scanning systems, and inventory management technologies.
- Excellent knowledge of health & safety, compliance, and logistics best practices.
- Financial and commercial acumen with experience managing operational budgets.
- Continuous improvement mindset with a track record of driving process efficiency and warehouse performance.
