This senior leadership role presents an exceptional opportunity to shape and lead the operational performance of a national branch network, playing a key part in the company's continued success and future expansion.
As Head of Operations, you will take strategic and operational ownership of the company's substantial branch network. Reporting directly to the CEO and working as part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will drive operational excellence, lead cross-functional teams, and support company-wide objectives across Ireland.
You'll work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and departments to optimize branch performance, enhance customer service delivery, and increase operational profitability. This role calls for a dynamic leader with a strong commercial mindset and a track record of delivering results in a multi-site environment. A candidate with experience in delivering results across multiple distribution centre's will be highly successful in this role.
This role will require a high level of travel and is therefore open to applicants based anywhere in Ireland.
Strategic Leadership: Oversee day-to-day operations across all branches, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational best practices.
Process Optimisation: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in operational processes, systems, and workflows to enhance productivity and service delivery.
Team Leadership & Development: Inspire, lead, and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
Human Resources Oversight: Manage all aspects of HR within operations including recruitment, training, development, and performance management.
Financial Stewardship: Lead budgeting, financial planning, and cost control to ensure efficient and profitable branch operations.
Vendor & Supplier Management: Oversee third-party service providers, ensuring contractual compliance, service quality, and cost efficiency.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across departments, acting as the key liaison for operational initiatives and branch performance.
Reporting & Insights: Produce and present detailed operational reports and performance metrics to the executive team, offering strategic recommendations.
A degree in Business, Operational Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior operational leadership role, ideally within a branch or multi-site environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead high-impact teams and manage complex, cross-functional operations.
Strong commercial awareness with experience in budgeting, KPIs, and performance optimization.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
A hands-on leader with proven experience in driving process improvements and organizational change.
