Position Overview:
As a Goods In Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the receipt and processing of incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout the supply chain. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the inspection, documentation, and storage of inventory, as well as coordinating with various departments to streamline operations and resolve any discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving and Inspection: Accurately receive and inspect incoming goods, ensuring they meet quality standards and match the purchase orders.
- Documentation: Complete and maintain accurate records of received goods, including updating inventory management systems and generating reports as needed.
- Storage and Organization: Ensure proper storage and organization of goods in the warehouse, adhering to safety and compliance regulations.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control, including identifying and addressing discrepancies or issues.
- Coordination: Work closely with suppliers, logistics teams, and internal departments to resolve any issues related to shipments or inventory.
- Compliance: Follow company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations, to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Strong understanding of inventory management systems and warehouse procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience with inventory management software is a plus.
- Forklift license and experience with handling large or heavy items are advantageous
