Financial Accountant - Dublin (Permanent)
We're partnering with a well-established company in the transport sector to hire a recently qualified accountant for a Financial Accountant role based in South Dublin. The Role
The Financial Accountant will play a key role in the finance team, supporting the Finance Director in delivering accurate financial reporting and providing insights that drive decision-making. You'll be responsible for statutory compliance, month-end processes, and reporting, while also gaining exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial statements in line with accounting standards
Support with internal and external audit requirements
Assist with budgeting and forecasting, analysing variances and highlighting risks or opportunities
Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support commercial decisions
Complete reconciliations, journal entries, and other month-end activities
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory obligations
Partner with stakeholders across the business to support efficiency and deliver on budget targets
About You
Newly qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
Strong technical grounding with excellent attention to detail
Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability
Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage stakeholders
Proficient in Excel and comfortable working with accounting systems
Keen to learn, develop, and take on new challenges in a fast-moving environment
