Finance Assistant

6‑week Temp Contract Onsite, 5 days per week | Mid‑April Start

• Hours: 35 per week (9-5 or 9:30-5:30)

A Dublin‑based not‑for‑profit organisation is seeking a Finance Assistant to join their small, friendly finance team. This role is ideal for someone who brings not only strong technical skills, but also empathy, emotional awareness, and a genuine desire to support meaningful work.

What You'll Be Doing

• Processing weekly and monthly creditors, travel and subsistence claims

• Managing bank and petty cash reconciliations

• Reconciling company card transactions (Visa/Soldo)

• Supporting monthly payroll - prior payroll exposure is essential

• Assisting with monthly management accounts

• Supporting year‑end prep (accruals, deferred income, receivables, balance sheet recs)

• Helping prepare financial returns for funding bodies

• Assisting with funding proposals and reporting

• Supporting the rollout of Auto‑Enrolment pension

• Maintaining accurate financial records in line with GDPR

• Using Sage 50 (accounts) and Sage Payroll

What They're Looking For

• Experience in a Finance Assistant / Accounts Assistant role

• Payroll exposure is required in addition to finance duties

• Strong reconciliation skills (bank, petty cash, credit cards)

• Comfortable with creditors, invoicing, and travel claims

• Emotionally aware, empathetic, and sensitive when working with individuals

• Organised, reliable, and able to work well with a small, close‑knit team

• ATI qualification is a plus
