Distribution and Investment Management Lead - MANCO
In this role you will be;
- Supporting Investment Managers throughout the complete product lifecycle - managing, overseeing and reporting on distribution activities undertaken in the EU for clients and prospects.
- Supporting Distribution Oversight across several affiliates; the role's focus is oversight of the Marketing personnel and practices and ensuring appropriate governance is maintained improve reporting framework.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Working with the business development team on the sales process to prospective clients/manager
- Working closely with the product/operations teams to onboard new clients/investment managers to the platform.
- Conducting regular calls with delegated investment managers/distributors to ensure compliance with any relevant regulatory requirements and to ensure client remains satisfied with the platform services being provided.
- Co-ordinating a distribution oversight framework with input from other Designated Persons and appointed Distributors as relevant and ensure any distribution related complaints are escalated as appropriate.
- Ensuring the oversight function has appropriate focus and is comprehensively documented
- Contributing to the delivery of the annual product review process to agreed timescales, keeping key stakeholders aware of progress and highlighting matters for resolution as appropriate.
- Ensuring the funds are appropriately registered in all jurisdictions in which the funds will be distributed.
- Contributing to the maintenance and annual update of scheme documentation including prospectus and supplement updates.
- Responsible for the maintenance of internal fund information, to include internal guidelines, fund schedule updates etc...
- Ongoing and formal periodical activity reporting review and relay of that to senior management.
- Co-ordinating management information and reporting to the board, the Irish management committee and other governance forums as necessary. Co-ordinate other reporting for the funds to include target market reporting, TCF reporting, etc
- Contributuing to regulatory change projects as applicable where they affect fund documentation (eg GDPR, LIBOR, Value Assessment etc)
- Ensuring compliance with the obligations and responsibilities assigned to the Designated Person for Distribution as outlined in the Central Bank of Ireland's Fund Management Company Guidance (CP86).
- Keeping abreast of industry and competitor innovations in the product space, as well as legislative changes through Irish Funds and CBI to identify consequential product activity.
- Developing and updating policies, procedures and other documentation as required
- Liaising between affiliates to understand what activities they are performing in what jurisdictions.
- Attending Oversight meetings and record minutes, ensuring all necessary protocols and procedures are known, shared effectively, and adhered to.
- Project managing major process change and work closely with CRM team to implement relevant change requirements.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- 5+ years of work experience in a related role. Required to have Distribution and Investment Management Expertise
- Understanding of investment management processes, especially with regard to product development and distribution.
- Experience and knowledge of product and proposition design, of strategy and of client needs
- Good knowledge of the international asset management industry including investor types, distributional channels, the competitor landscape and an excellent technical knowledge of investment products is essential
- Proven expertise in relevant topics, e.g. tracking error, fund performance, ETF products etc.
- Strong technical knowledge of pooled product structures including UCITS and non-UCITS structures across a range of domiciles
- Educated to degree standard or holder of a relevant professional qualification.
